Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone believes that Real Madrid will sign Kylian Mbappe. The French superstar has been connected with a move to the Bernabeu for a while now, ever since he came onto the scene at Monaco as a lightning-quick scorer, and rumors about him joining the club persist despite his rejecting an offer last summer. Mbappe did admit that despite his three-year contract extension, he was not fully ruling out a dream transfer to Real in the future, preferring a new agreement with Paris Saint-Germain instead.
There are rumors that Mbappe won’t sign a longer contract at Parc des Princes, which would mean that in only two years he would be a free agent. That would encourage President Nasser Al-Khelaifi to consider proposals in an effort to raise money for seismic projects. Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, predicts the World Cup champion will sign with Valdebebas in the not-too-distant future and adds that a Lionel Messi return to Barcelona would be huge for La Liga’s prestige.
“Mbappe do I see in Madrid? Real Madrid does really always sign the finest. Messi at Barcelona and Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid would be terrific for La Liga,” Diego Simeone said. “Ancelotti is a great man, and I would like to meet him sometime. I adore him. Perhaps we can meet together to discuss a Brazilian player I might have (laughter).”
While denying that he would wish to return to Europe, Cristiano Ronaldo has assured Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema that they are welcome in Saudi Arabia.
“I’m content and will stay here because I want to. The team will improve during the upcoming season. We have progressed over the past five to six months, and I am optimistic that we will soon be crowned champions,” he said. “They are invited…The league is presently filled with fantastic international and Arab players, and it will get better.”
