Fulham boss Marco Silva is stalling on the signing of a new contract. Silva led Fulham to a 10th-place Premier League finish in the previous campaign. His current contract has just 12 months left, and Fulham wants to reward him with a new one. Silva has not yet agreed to a new contract, but he is still optimistic about Fulham’s possibilities. Earlier this summer shown his dedication to the team by rejecting the opportunity to serve as manager in Saudi Arabia. Over two years, the offer was worth £35 million. Additionally, he declined opportunities to lead other Premier League clubs.
“Marco Silva, like many successful managers, has very high expectations. He aspires for his club to be the greatest. In terms of Fulham, it’s possible to say that he had higher expectations for the recruiting process at this point in the summer. However, there are always two sides to a tale,” Kaveh Solhekol said as Marco Silva stalls signing a new contract at Fulham. “Fulham will undoubtedly argue that the transfer market is still open for another six to eight weeks. There is a tonne of work being done in the background. Callum Hudson-Odoi has been linked to transfers to Fulham. They are also attempting to sign Willian once more. However, Marco Silva has had great success as a manager. He has so far had a very fruitful tenure at Fulham. He claims he wants to recommence and build on the success of the previous season. He is not now signing the new deal that is being presented to him.”
Al Hilal has submitted a second offer for Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic that is close to £30 million. The Serbian international is not for sale, according to Fulham, who have rejected the bid. Fulham’s stance has not altered. Tony Khan has been approached directly by Mitrovic to request that he accept the offer. In his six years with the club, he made a major contribution, and he informed Khan that he felt the club was receiving appropriate compensation for him. The Saudi club’s £25.5 million offer for Mitrovic has previously been turned down by Fulham.
