Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool is an attractive prospect despite not qualifying for the Champions League. Liverpool has already won their past six Premier League games and is making a late push to finish in the top four after a generally subpar season by their standards. They are now in fifth position with 62 points going into the weekend’s fixtures, one point behind fourth-place Manchester United even though the Reds have played one extra game. With around two weeks left in the Premier League, Liverpool confronts the possibility of missing out on Champions League participation the following year before a crucial summer in the transfer market. Klopp insisted that this would not interfere with their hiring process, saying that Liverpool as a team will provide as sufficient motivation.
“When I speak to a player, which is rare but happens when you can, you realize that the situation has already been resolved since we are unable to inform anyone at that time that we are unquestionably in the Champions League. It’s probably already obvious that he is aware of that circumstance if he is speaking to us,” Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said. “When you join a club, you do it because you want to accomplish something with the group. If you wish to participate in the competition to win trophies and qualify for the Champions League, you are more than welcome. The Champions League is the one thing we cannot guarantee this year; everything else is the same as it was last year.”
“With a variety of various football activities, we sought to offer ourselves an opportunity for a fresh start,” he added. “We had eight or nine days of training in between games, so it was somewhat of a fresh start for us. We didn’t know where it would lead us, but we wanted to use that time to begin the new season since we didn’t want to squander any more time. Thinking about it, working on it, and making something fresh for us was a lot of fun. The results followed, which is undoubtedly not a coincidence. We are aware that there were times when we also need luck, which we may not have had in other games. We are currently in the current predicament and still have three games left to play.”
