Manchester United have made Harry Kane their number one target along with Declan Rice and Mason Mount. It is improbable that they will sign all three players, and everything hinges on the potential acquisition of United by Qatari investors or Sir Jim Ratcliffe of INEOS. The sort of people Kane, Rice, and Mount are exactly what United manager Ten Hag wants in the team’s locker room. Neymar, a PSG attacker, has been offered to the Premier League team via middlemen, but United has no interest in him. There are no summer goals for the Qatari takeover of United, headed by Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani. They put in a higher fourth proposal earlier this month in an effort to purchase the club. The group would not attempt to recruit Neymar even if they were to be successful in their takeover attempt.
If Mason Mount left Chelsea this summer, Manchester United has emerged as the favorite to sign him along with Harry Kane. Prior to rivals Liverpool, Erik ten Hag’s club is reportedly displaying the most interest in the England midfielder. They reportedly also enquired about his probable availability this season and were encouraged by the difficult circumstances he finds himself in at Stamford Bridge. Mount’s contract with Chelsea expires in 2024, and during a trying season for both the team and the player on the pitch, there have been discussions regarding a new agreement.
However, those conversations have not yet resulted in an agreement, and the player needs to fit within the ethical salary structure Chelsea is attempting to adopt. It has prompted Liverpool to express interest in Mount, who is being represented by Neil Fewings of Wasserman, who also represents Jordan Henderson and Virgil Van Dijk. Newcastle and Tottenham are each keeping a close eye on the issue, but Manchester United is now said to have surpassed its competitors.
After being hired as Chelsea’s next manager, Mauricio Pochettino is anticipated to speak with Mount, which might alter the course of events. The midfielder’s role in Pochettino’s plans and ability to sway the player’s choice to remain loyal to his childhood club is still up in the air. However, Chelsea is willing to trade Mount if he believes his future is elsewhere, but they will expect more than £70 million for the 24-year-old.
At the end of the season, Arsenal is anticipated to make an offer for West Ham captain Rice, while their shortlist for the summer midfield includes Chelsea’s Mount and Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan. The English midfielder, who the Gunners were interested in back in January, is the subject of ongoing internal debates at the Emirates Stadium. Rice and West Ham have a “gentleman’s agreement” that allows him to leave in the summer as long as the club gets a bid of £120 million, whether in the form of transfer money or a transfer fee plus players.
Rice’s contract with West Ham has one year still to run, with an additional year’s option. Arsenal is also monitoring Moises Caicedo’s circumstances at Brighton. In January, Arsenal had two offers turned down; the most recent being for £70 million. Although Caicedo has now renewed his contract with Brighton, manager Roberto De Zerbi acknowledged earlier this month that the midfielder may depart in the summer.
It has not been ruled out that Arsenal would make summer transfers for both Rice and Caicedo, although the likelihood of doing so will largely rely on the proceeds of any potential sales. Granit Xhaka is slated to leave in the summer, therefore Arsenal is also keeping an eye on a few other midfielders. This summer, Gundogan’s contract expires; he had stated that conversations with City were underway. Pep Guardiola, the manager of City, has made it plain that Gundogan should remain. When Arteta served as Guardiola’s assistant at City, the two of them frequently collaborated.
