Bayern Munich have had their £60m offer for Harry Kane rejected. Tottenham’s stance remains that any bid will be rejected. Kane, who has one year left on his contract, is not wanted by Tottenham, but Thomas Tuchel and Bayern look willing to test the club’s resolve. With the winning goal against Manchester City in February, Kane shattered Tottenham’s all-time scoring record. Kane surpassed Jimmy Greaves’ mark of 266 goals for the Spurs, which held since 1970, as a result. Kane has his sights set on Alan Shearer’s 260-goal Premier League record as his next objective. The attacker is now only 48 goals shy of surpassing Shearer’s total after a strong individual year in which he scored 30 goals despite the North London side placing ninth and having three head coaches.
“Kane is not for sale, according to Tottenham, despite what one insider had informed me about the offer [from Bayern] having been made. Tottenham claims that no official proposal has been made. Bids can, of course, be submitted in a variety of methods, including officially, in writing, over the phone, and orally. Without being present in the room, it is difficult to demonstrate one side or the other. However, the reality is that Harry Kane would greatly benefit Bayern Munich,” Michael Bridge said. “The early phase of the window, when we reported Manchester United’s interest, has unquestionably passed. Since we already know Bayern Munich is particularly interested in Harry Kane, today’s development is crucial. Kane will play for Spurs next season, according to Daniel Levy, and Tottenham are unwilling to consider any bids.”
Tottenham wants to add at least one center-back, and the number will depend on how many they lose. Clement Lenglet, who made 26 appearances last season, has already returned to Barcelona after his loan period, while Davinson Sanchez’s future is particularly hazy. An international player from Burkina Faso Tapsoba played for Bayer in more than 40 games last year, including five in the Champions League. Van der Ven, a left-footer who represents the Netherlands at the U21 level, played 33 times for Wolfsburg past season. Adarabioyo, who can play at both right and left center-back, wants to leave Fulham.
