Liverpool are the favorites to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer despite being linked to Man City and Real Madrid. Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, is “pushing, pushing, pushing” to get the 19-year-old back to England to improve the midfield for his team, according to Florian Plettenberg. In addition to being named to the 2022 European Golden Boy award shortlist, Bellingham shone for England during the World Cup in Qatar last year. In 23 games in all competitions, he has scored 10 goals in excellent form for Dortmund in Europe and the Bundesliga. With Liverpool currently in ninth place in the Premier League and 10 points out of the last Champions League qualification berth, Klopp made it clear in January that his squad would be undergoing big changes this summer. The midfielder is Klopp’s primary priority.
“Bellingham, in our collective opinion, will depart this summer, and Dortmund has no chance of keeping him at this point,” Florian Plettenberg said that Liverpool is the favorite to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. “However, the cost is quite significant because his contract does not contain a release provision. In the summer, Dortmund hopes to have between €100m and €150m for him. He has Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Liverpool as his three goals. He is one of Jurgen Klopp’s top transfer targets, and Liverpool is one of the favorites. Klopp is working hard for him.”
“From a professional standpoint, Bellingham joining Real Madrid later in his career may make the most sense. He is not required to act right away. From a football perspective, I believe Liverpool will be the best option for him this summer,” Kaveh Solhekol said. “Considering that Man City and Real Madrid would likely be able to offer higher sums of money than Liverpool, some have questioned if Liverpool would be able to compete in such a situation. That isn’t the case, in my opinion. If you look at Man City recently, you will see that there have been several instances where they have walked away from agreements because they believed the valuation to be incorrect.”
