Kai Havertz completed his medical ahead of his £65m to Arsenal from Chelsea. According to reports, the 23-year-old German international will sign a five-year contract with the Gunners for £65 million from Chelsea. Given that Havertz had made it apparent he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge, it is believed that Chelsea is pleased with the trade. It marks the end of Havertz’s three-year stay with Chelsea, where he made club history by scoring the goal that gave them their second Champions League championship in 2021. Chelsea spent £75 million to acquire Arsenal target Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020, but following a lackluster season at Stamford Bridge, they were hoping to return a sizable amount of their investment.
Rice’s potential transfer to Arsenal is still being discussed favorably by both parties, and preparations for the next step are being made behind the scenes. Arsenal has had two offers for the West Ham captain rejected, the most recent being at a club record £90 million. The England midfielder is reportedly worth at least £100 million, and the Hammers are anticipating a better bid from the Gunners. Although they have not yet submitted an official offer, Manchester City is also considering Rice. The 24-year-old’s favorite location is still Arsenal, and personal terms shouldn’t be an issue.
Arsenal and Ajax are currently in negotiations to bring defender Timber to the club. All sides are eager to reach an agreement since it is believed that the player wants to go to north London. The worth of the agreement and the payment schedule are the key topics of discussion between the two teams, and as things stand, the Dutch defender is still undervalued.
Talks over striker Folarin Balogun’s future at Emirates Stadium have also taken place between Arsenal and his agents. Balogun is looking for regular first-team action after a productive loan season at Reims last year during which he scored 21 Ligue 1 goals. The 21-year-old is rumored to desire to leave Arsenal permanently. Once the arrivals are definite, Arsenal will then evaluate midfield exits. While Arsenal is aware of the interest from Juventus and teams in Saudi Arabia in Thomas Partey, Bayer Leverkusen is still confident they can close a deal for Granit Xhaka.
