Rangers have had their opening bid for Danilo rejected by Eredivise side Feyenoord. The Brazilian, who scored 14 goals in all competitions last season, is still a target for the Ibrox club, but no price has been set. Michael Beale, the manager, might still make additions to his team this week, as negotiations for a loan transfer for Brighton striker Abdallah Sima are still underway. The 22-year-old, who twice faced Rangers for Slavia Prague in 2021, later transferred to the Amex for almost £7 million, although he has yet to feature for the Premier League team. Sima, a Senegal international, played 37 times for Angers last season after spending his first season on loan at Stoke City. While nothing has been decided yet, he still has two years left on his current Brighton contract.
Sam Lammers, Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling, and Kieran Dowell have already been added to Beale’s roster, and the manager is reportedly happy with the club’s recent activity. Cyriel Dessers of Cremona and Jose Cifuentes of Los Angeles FC are still of interest to the Rangers as they pursue a number of recruits this summer. Several Rangers players, such as Scott Wright and Glen Kamara, who may leave the team this summer, have drawn interest as well.
“I’m thrilled with how far we’ve come throughout the summer transfer window,” Rangers head coach Michael Beale said before their bid for Danilo was rejected. “To bring on board Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell, and Sam Lammers, we have worked really hard. Our plans are finished earlier than expected. As we get ready for the new season, there will be additional roster changes in the upcoming weeks. We are almost done securing our goals in those jobs in our primary emphasis regions.”
