Al Nassr coach Rudi Garcia revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo could make his debut against Paris Saint-Germain and Lionel Messi in an exhibition match. Following Manchester United’s defeat against Everton in April, the attacker received a punishment from the Football Association for knocking a phone out of a young fan’s hand. It has complicated Garcia’s planning for domestic goals by delaying Ronaldo’s eagerly anticipated debut, which is now slated to occur in a showcase match against PSG in Riyadh on January 19.
“With the Al Nassr jersey, it won’t be. Al Hilal and Al Nassr will be combined,” Rudi Garcia said about a possible reunion of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. “As the head coach of Al Nassr, I am unable to express satisfaction with this match. The best way to grow as a player is to watch PSG and the great Paris players. But we play in the title game three days later. The schedule could have been more properly thought out. It’s not a big deal, though… Since we are in the lead, we are happy. We want to win the championship even though it will be difficult.”
Garcia compared Pele’s groundbreaking union with the New York Cosmos in 1975, which greatly increased interest in football in the United States, to Ronaldo’s arrival in Saudi Arabia.
“In particular for the growth of football, sport, and culture in Saudi Arabia, it is comparable to Pele’s entrance,” he added. “The top. excellent for us and Al-Nassr. favorable to Saudi Arabia Cristiano Ronaldo is a lot more than a football player. He is a top player in the globe. It’s amazing how much attention that has brought our club. Now that everyone knows where our club is, everywhere. We must have gone from 800,000 to 10 million [fans] in a matter of hours or days as a result of Cristiano’s arrival.”
