Manchester City are in talks with RB Leipzig for the signing of Josko Gvardiol. The champs have not yet submitted an official proposal, though. The clubs are in negotiations, according to Max Eberl, managing director of sport at RB. Numerous elite teams are interested in center-back Gvardiol of Croatia, who plays with the left foot. Josko Gvardiol’s two Champions League encounters with Manchester City last season couldn’t have been more unlike, from a goal-scoring showcase of his abilities to a humiliation at the Etihad.
The Croatian World Cup player in the mask demonstrated during the first leg of their match why, at the age of just 21, he is one of the best young defenders in the world and is sought after by the best teams in Europe. A magnificent header to equalize for the German club highlighted his mature defensive performance. Three weeks later, Erling Haaland scored five goals as RB Leipzig was destroyed 7-0 in Manchester. Josko Gvardiol had a learning experience from losing to Manchester City. But potentially one that will increase his motivation to dominate the sport. It definitely doesn’t appear to have hurt his reputation among potential suitors.
Manor Solomon’s Shakthar contract ended, and he will soon have a physical with Tottenham. After his contract with Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk ended at the end of June, Solomon, who made an impression while on loan at Fulham last season, is currently without a club. In 19 Premier League appearances for Fulham during the previous season, the 23-year-old attacker scored four goals. Shakhtar Donetsk is incensed by the FIFA decision that permits non-Ukrainian players to stop their contracts as a result of Russia’s invasion of the nation.
The Ukrainian team has stated that the decision is unnecessary since it has cost them transfer payments on international players they were eager to trade. Solomon’s Shakhtar contract had six months left when it was set to expire in December of this year, but because the FIFA judgment has been extended by an additional year, the contract is now indefinite and he is free to depart.
