David Beckham’s son Romeo Beckham will stay at Brentford B this season after making his move permanent. The 20-year-old has consented to sign a permanent one-year contract with them from Inter Miami. It is anticipated that the Bees will make a little payment. Beckham joined the team in January on a six-month loan and contributed to their Premier League Cup victory. After the season ended, he was recently spotted in Los Angeles. He is anticipated to rejoin Brentford B for pre-season training later in the summer. Ji-Soo Kim, a center defender from Seongnam FC who is 18 years old, is about to be signed by Brentford’s B squad.
“Romeo Beckham is a really talented athlete, therefore it goes without saying that his name is well-known around the world,” Brentford boss Thomas Frank said. “Romeo is just himself, despite having a well-known name, for him. [Father and son] cannot be compared.”
Frank compared his son Andreas, who he coached, to the Danish international Michael Laudrup.
“I trained Laudrup’s kid, so he may be a decent player as well [similar to David Beckham], but it’s vital to view him as a player, not as Laudrup. He is here for a purpose, and we are happy that he was able to complete the loan agreement because we think he is a terrific player,” he added. “When you have players, whether permanent or on loan, you have them for a reason, so [we are] happy to see him performing well and happy with the performance he had in the most recent game. We just hope that he keeps improving and makes it extremely intriguing for us because it is either for getting the squad to perform or to prolong the loan arrangement and make it a permanent deal.”
