Nottingham Forest is set to open talks with Man United over goalkeeper Dean Henderson after surviving in the Premier League. The 26-year-old England international played 20 times in all competitions during his loan season at the City Ground last year before suffering a thigh injury that ended his season in January. After surviving relegation in the final stages of the Premier League season, Forest wants to make Henderson’s loan permanent and is anticipated to contact United for negotiations in the coming days. Henderson has the option to extend his Old Trafford contract by one additional year through the summer of 2025.
David De Gea, the custodian for Manchester United, has a contract that expires this summer, and a new agreement has not yet been approved. Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has always endorsed David De Gea in public but won’t vouch for him as the team’s starting custodian in 2019. Diogo Costa of Porto is one custodian that United is researching carefully.
This summer, Manchester United is hoping to add a central defender. Defenseman Kim Min-Jae of Napoli has always piqued curiosity. According to reports, the South Korean international has a £45 million release clause.
Captain Harry Maguire must decide what his future will be, according to Ten Hag. The England international, who started just eight Premier League games last season, will probably have even less opportunities in the first team this season given that United is rumoured to be on the lookout for a centre defender. The fates of Fred, Anthony Martial, and Scott McTominay will also be decided by United, and if they are not included in Ten Hag’s long-term plans, the club is willing to consider bids for the trio.
The Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr has made Wilfried Zaha a sizable offer to join Cristiano Ronaldo there. A three-year, £45 million ($15 million per year) deal has been made available to the 30-year-old. The representatives of Atletico Madrid and three other Champions League teams have also been contacted. The international player from Ivory Coast is still considering all of his alternatives before deciding on his future. His current agreement is scheduled to expire at the end of June, but it has not been ruled out that he will sign a new one with Crystal Palace.
