Managers’ reaction
Massimiliano Allegri: “Sampdoria played a good game, especially in the first half where they were good at closing down. We, on the other hand, had little patience. While we certainly played better in the second half: creating several chances. We would have liked the three points, but the positive aspect is that in these first two matchdays we haven’t conceded a goal. We are growing in condition and we will continue to work hard to get ready for the match on Saturday evening against Roma.”
Marco Giampaolo: “The championship has just begun and there is no need to break down, even if there is a lot to improve, especially in the attitude with which certain challenges must be faced. This is the key concept expressed by the coach. In mentality it is stronger than it actually is on a technical level. He has some absences but remains a competitive formation from every point of view. And we will have to play another great match like with Atalanta to try to snatch a positive result.”
