Wayne Rooney has revealed that he has advised Manchester United a month after rejoining Everton to sign Idrissa Gueye.
Until moving to United in 2004, Rooney started his career at Everton and proceeded to win 16 major trophies at Old Trafford including five Premier League titles and the Champions League.
The previous England International made its way back to Goodison Park in the summer of 2017 on a free transfer, having been considered by the Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho surplus to prerequisites.
Rooney stayed with DC United for one full season before embarking on another challenge in MLS, helping Everton earn a top-flight eighth-place finish.
