Ivan Rakitic looks for clarification about his future in Barcelona amid continuous bits of gossip that predicament him to a summer transfer.
Allegedly, the Croatian midfielder was allowed to join Paris Saint-Germain last summer as part of a deal that would have seen Neymar come back to Spain, and he is said to be a potential target for Italy’s Inter and Juventus sides.
The contract for the 32-year-old at Camp Nou lapses in 2021 and he has lost his regular place in the main team this season, having just started 10 of the 21 games he has played in La Liga.
While he might want to live for at least another year with the Spanish giants, he says he ‘s open to different offers and would like to get things cleared up soon.
“I’m not angry with anyone, at the club I despite everything have a great relationship with everybody and I’m unimaginably grateful for the time at Barca up until this point. It is only that individuals speak to me about everything actually after the long time I’ve been here. I want clarification in which heading they are going. Presently, I sense we want to go down a developing road. I have no issue with the fact that as of late, there have been a ton of headlines around my name. I am as yet open to conversations with those mindful, I incline toward it to be asked by outsiders about it. At Barca, I’m still incredibly happy. My better half in Barcelona also feels entirely comfortable,” he said to Sport1.
He added: “I would prefer not to be looking forward too far. The club’s kin knows Barca is the dream team to me. I always sign a contract with the force to execute it. I despise everything want that and at the club, I want to feel important. The plan is to [stay at Barcelona]. A ton will be distinctive for us players and the Spanish clubs with the coronavirus emergency happening. In case you’re furious about something, you have to talk, however, the idea is I want to stay here longer. At Barca my brain and heart are unadulterated.”
When asked whether he might want to see the remainder of his career in Barcelona or return to the Bundesliga, the ex-Schalke star said: “I ‘m open to anything, yet I would prefer not to look too far ahead. After the troublesome time with the coronavirus pandemic now I want to appreciate the occasion. Anyone who realizes me already realizes how mad I am about football.”
