But he’s been mostly within the background and nobody can expect him to be the main target of this summer’s network of transfer speculation across Europe.

As a player who is clearly regarded by the Blaugrana as expendable, but with respectable market price, he’s invaluable as a trade piece during this stunted summer marketplace for coronavirus.
Barcelona is predicted to use Portuguese defender Nelson Semedo as a makeweight for Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar, Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez, and Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo in future transfers. The vice-chairman of Barcelona recently suggested that the club would be using players in potential trade deals this summer due to the financial consequences of coronavirus outbreak.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca will still use Semedo as a makeweight since coming back from Benfica in 2017, despite the event of the 26-year-old into Team favorite right-back. Portugal International made 29 appearances at the side of Quique Setien during the present season, but in recent weeks the discussion about its future has slowed.
Barca is seemingly attempting to sign either Martinez or Neymar instead of both this summer, while Cancelo is claimed to possess emerged as a possible choice for defense. The Catalan giants have reportedly made available a variety of other players before the transfer window this summer.
