Many footballers have promised financial help as the coronavirus pandemic keeps on clearing the globe.
On Wednesday, FC Bayern introduced a €250,000 donation to WeKickCorona, created by players Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka. The commitment originates from the sale of FCB face masks made by a Bavarian company out of scarves originally expected to be handed out at the deferred Champions League match at the Allianz Arena against Chelsea.
“With WeKickCorona it is amazing what Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich have done,” said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, CEO of FC Bayern. “We are enchanted to have the option to hand over a whole of €250,000 from the returns from our face masks, giving our players this remarkable campaign.”
Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich created the WeKickCorona development to encourage social and charitable foundations from all areas of society, especially those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
National Germany team donated €2.5 million and Milan gave €250,000 while Bayern Munich players Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich set up a reserve called ‘We Kick Corona,’ contributing a joined €1 million.
