Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has announced his promise to remain at Stamford Bridge.
During Maurizio Sarri ‘s time as head coach, the 24-year-old battled for regular action with the Blues and was reliably connected with a move away from the club.
Under Frank Lampard, notwithstanding, Denmark international has been a regular, making 23 appearances in all rivalries and starting 10 of the club’s last 11 Premier League matches.
Christensen proclaimed his “heart” for the London club before saying he would be available to broadening his present contract, which will lapse in the summer of 2022.
“I’ve never looked anywhere else,” Christensen told Sky Sports News.
“I’ve never questioned my situation. I’ve always had my eyes at Chelsea.I’ve had my contract and I’ve always expected to complete that and I’ve always dreamed of much more than that. Nothing has changed. Clearly it was an alternate situation last season yet I despite everything love being here, that’s the short answer.”
Christensen played the whole an hour and a half as Chelsea persevered through a 3-2 misfortune Wednesday night at West Ham United in the Premier League.
