The news that tied Olivier Giroud to Juventus ‘surprised’ the Chelsea forward. ‘Far from the facts.’
Sky Sport Italia suggested last night that Juve would keep Giroud on the back burner as a potential option after running into difficulties for Luis Suarez and Edin Dzeko.
It was said that the bid could be made for €5 m and the striker had already agreed to a two-year deal worth €4.5 m per season.
“I was shocked to receive messages from friends talking about the Juventus rumor,” Giroud told Telefoot today, as Get French Football News announced.
“The truth is a long way off. I’m a player at Chelsea and I feel comfortable here. Last season I didn’t have a wonderful end just to leave again without having a little confidence.’
