Tottenham Defender Danny Rose emphasized how much the club likes his team-mate Harry Kane while acknowledging that the forward has a mean streak. In the past few weeks, Kane’s future has been the subject of a lot of speculation, fuelled by the player himself, who has admitted that he would have to leave Tottenham if they could not meet his expectations.
England’s captain has always said how badly he needs his boyhood club to win the titles, and Rose, who is now on a loan at Newcastle, says it’s clear.
With Harry, we all hope his goals and performances will merit a trophy one way or another in his career, but Tottenham means the world to him,” he told the Lockdown Tactics podcast.

“We know that and when you see him disappointed, it’s just one of those things that you win when you’re on Harry’s team in training. It’s not a coincidence. You just don’t want to be on a losing side when you’re on Harry’s side, even in training. He ‘s got that aura you want to do the best you can. One of the stories that came out of Tottenham ‘s memorable run to the Champions League final last season was Kane’s half-time intervention in the second leg of the Ajax semi-final. It was 3-0 on aggregate, and in the locker room, Kane created a fiery speech followed by an unforgettable comeback. With Harry, we all hope that his goals and performances in his career will merit a trophy in one way or another, but Tottenham means the world to him. Ajax is one that sticks out,” Rose explained.
Harry has been turned quite a few times. You wouldn’t think about it but he loses it when he goes but in a good way. He needs to see you do better. He wants the best for himself but also his team-mates. “Rose also revealed how Spurs was interested in signing Harry Maguire from Hull after Mauricio Pochettino made an early impression.
Touching on Harry, we were playing Hull at White Hart Lane and I think we won 2-0 or 3-0, I remember Brucey (Steve Bruce) was the boss and our gaffer was all over Harry right away. They’ve been in for him I guess. I started to appreciate him straight away until Poch had taken a liking to him.
