Barcelona has named teenage midfielder Sandro Tonali of Brescia as Andres Iniesta’s long-term successor.
According to an article in Corriere Della Sera, via Diario AS, this reports that the Blaugrana will be willing to pay €60 million together with two young players for the central midfielder – who would have a total transfer value of €10 m.
Nicknamed ‘the new Andrea Pirlo,’ Tonali has become a real star od little Italian club and has been linked to Italy’s biggest clubs for some time and has now been described as the ‘new Iniesta.’ The midfielder earned his first cap for the senior Italian national team in October and started 23 matches on their return to Series A for the club this campaign.
Brescia’s president, Massimo Cellino, said back in February that he had received ‘a very interesting offer’ without saying anything to the footballer to send him ‘a big surprise in June.’ Last October the same outlet confirmed that Tonali was also on the radar at the Atletico de Madrid, also linked to Paris Saint-Germain.
