After squandering chances, Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte again lamented the lack of an amazing nature on his side and drew 3-3 at home to mid-table Sassuolo on Wednesday, further scratching their chances of winning Serie A.
Conte had expounded on Inter’s profligacy after they defeated Sampdoria 2-1 on Sunday. Its performance against Sassuolo left him considerably progressively exasperated, including an open goal miss by midfielder Roberto Gagliardini.
“There’s a great deal of frustration on my part and the lads’ part,” said Conte, whose side is third and 8 points behind the Juventus leaders.
He added: “On the off chance that you play this sort of game and put a great deal of vitality into it whenever you have a chance to win it given the challenges, you have to take care of it and get three points. We haven’t done that, and it’s upsetting, it upsets me. We had chances, and we didn’t seal the outcome, and then in the 89th moment, they scored, yet we can’t work any harder. There are situations where you have to score, and today we paid dearly for our naivety.”
The coach also blamed for individual mistakes all three of Sassuolo’s goals and said there will be bounty to investigate.
Conte said: “Everything changes with information. I repeat that consistently, when the games, after the practices. The points of interest will change the result, and we have paid for the outcomes again.”
Conte would not like to consider Inter’s chances of winning the title during his first season at the club.”I don’t have the foggiest idea.” he said.
“I can’t anticipate that. What I want is for us to win the remaining 11 games. The mentality I want to ingrain in the players is to attempt to get the best. At that point, if there are other preferred teams over us, I’ll take my hat off,” he said.
